WOODSIDE SELF CATERING –TERMS AND CONDITIONS (DIRECT BOOKINGS)

 

OUR MISSION TO YOU, OUR CUSTOMER 

1. To provide an honest, good value service. 

2. To provide accurate, detailed information for our property. 

3. In the event that further information does not appear present and is required in order for you to make a booking please let us know by contacting us at woodsideholidaylet@gmail.com. 

OCCUPANCY 

4. The maximum number of occupants permitted to occupy the property for the letting period must not exceed FOUR unless otherwise agreed with the Proprietor in advance. 

RESERVATIONS 

5. A contract shall only arise when your booking is confirmed in writing via email. 

6. Reservations without payment cannot be guaranteed until a full deposit is received. 

PAYMENT FOR THE BOOKING 

7. Unless otherwise stated, a deposit of 20% of the rental fee is payable if the booking is made more than 4 weeks before the arrival date. The balance must be paid in full 5 weeks prior to the arrival date. 

8. Non-payment of the balance on or before the final payment due date shall be deemed as a cancellation of the contract by the client. 

9. Bookings made on or within 5 weeks of the arrival date must be paid in full at the time of booking. 

10. Payment should be made by bank transfer. 

11. It is your responsibility and not the Proprietor’s to make sure this payment is received. 

12. Failure to settle in full at least 4 weeks prior to the arrival date may result in the accommodation being re-let. 

CANCELLATION OF THE BOOKING 

13. We recommend that you take out holiday insurance as a minimum to cover cancellations, curtailment and loss or damage to personal effects to minimise costs and inconvenience in such an eventuality. 

14. Holiday insurance is not included in the cost of hire. 

15. If you wish to cancel a reservation we must be notified immediately by email to woodsideholidaylet@gmail.com to ensure that efforts can be made to re-let the property. 

16. On receipt of a notice of cancellation every effort will be made to re-let the property for the period booked. If re-letting is successful we will refund all monies paid by you less an administration charge of £25 and less any difference in the re-letting price. 

17. If the cancellation is within 4 weeks of the arrival date and we have been unable to be re-let the property the client shall be liable for the full cost of the cancelled rental period. 

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE 

18. The cottage shall be available for you at 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 9am on the day of departure. 

19. The cottage is rented Saturday to Saturday. 

20. Late arrival on the due date, early departure, or any delay or inaccessibility incurred due to detrimental travel or weather conditions is not the responsibility of the Proprietor and the hirer has no right to any refund or discount. 

CARE AND USE OF THE PROPERTY 

21. Pets are not permitted. 

22. No smoking or vaping is permitted within, or directly adjacent to, the property. 

23. You shall take all responsible and proper care of the property, fixtures, fittings and furnishings internally and externally and shall leave in the same clean and tidy condition and state of repair at the end of the rental period as found at the beginning. 

24. You are legally bound to reimburse the Proprietors for replacement or repair of lost or damaged property and any extra cleaning costs as a result of the cottage, or its contents, being left in an inappropriate condition. 

25. The Proprietor or a person delegated by the Proprietor shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out any essential repairs or maintenance. 

26. On arrival you should satisfy yourself that the accommodation is in good clean condition and as described. By occupying the accommodation without registering any fault, breakage, cleanliness issue or general area of concern with the Proprietor you accept the accommodation and responsibility for it and its equipment throughout the period of hire. 

27. You must acquaint yourself with the basic safety precautions against fire and exit points while occupying the property. 

28. The electric oven, hobs and any log fires must not be left in use unattended. 

29. Indoor candles and all other combustible devices must be extinguished before leaving the property. 

30. Outdoor candles and BBQs on the wooden decked area are not permitted. BBQs on the graveled area should not be left unattended. 

LIABILITY 

31. The Proprietors shall accept no liability to the clients for any loss, damage or injury not caused through the fault of the proprietor. 

32. The Proprietor’s liability will be limited to the sum received from you for the rental. 

33. The Proprietor takes no liability for happenings outside their control and no liability will fall on the Proprietor for the effects of unusual or extreme weather, power cuts, water shortages, coastal or farming disasters, epidemic or pandemic as declared by the Department of Health, DEFRA or WHO. 

34. Free private off road car parking is available and no liability shall be placed on the proprietor for its use or any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused. 

35. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or unavailability of Broadband/Wifi, TV Services or Mobile phone signal which is outside our control.
