ARIUNDLE OAKWOOD
Located north of Strontian. A remnant of an ancient coastal oakwood that stretched along the Atlantic coast. The woodland is home to some unusual butterflies including the rare Chequered Skipper, Pearl Bordered Fritillary and Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary.

GARBH EILEAN WILDLIFE HIDE
Located between Strontian and Salen, the hide provides a good spot to search for otters and seals. A range of waders, ducks and seabirds can also be seen, depending on season and, occasionally, golden and white-tailed eagles.

RSPB GLENBORRODALE NATURE RESERVE
Located just past Glenborrodale on the road towards Kilchoan, paths run through the Atlantic oak woodland with spectacular views to the Isle of Mull.

GLENCRIPESDALE
Located on the south banks of Loch Sunart in Morvern, the reserve combines woodland, shoreline, heaths and moorland. It is one of the top woodland sites in the UK and a ‘hot spot’ for otters. Look out for white-tailed eagles along the shoreline.

RAHOY HILLS NATURE RESERVE
Located four miles from Lochaline. The reserve has a range of habitats from grasslands, mires and heaths to cliffs, lochans and oak woodlands. Opportunities to see Red Deer on the open moors and Golden Eagles soaring above the hills. The rangers operate guided walks on a regular basis.
